Over time, he gained hands-on experience installing solar panels, wind turbines, and generators. He now contributes to the ecovillage’s energy and food autonomy projects, notably through the passive solar greenhouse.
In addition to maintaining the ecovillage’s equipment, Guillaume collaborates with other companies in Centre-du-Québec to design and assemble agricultural tools and solar panel supports. He also creates 3D models for new equipment.
Currently, he’s exploring the development of sand batteries to heat greenhouses and buildings. The concept involves storing solar or wind energy in sand during the summer, making it available for use in winter.
Guillaume also works with his childhood friend David Belanger of Smart Energy of New England.
