Joining the Ecovillage as a Family
Education lies at the heart of our ecovillage—it is, in fact, the very reason we exist.
Becoming part of the community as a family is not quite the same as joining on your own. There are many people to consider, and it’s essential that everyone feels at home. This also touches on education—on how we support children in their daily development.
Please note that we are not actively recruiting, but we do occasionally welcome families with whom we feel a meaningful collaboration is possible. Joining an ecovillage goes far beyond the kind of commitment involved in simply changing schools. It’s an entire way of life that surrounds children, and the whole environment strives to align with the values of the families, the school, and the broader community.
Above all, it’s a matter of the heart. That’s why we believe in taking the time to get to know one another before making any long-term commitments. We encourage a gradual approach: initial visits, followed by one, two, or even three short trial stays before considering a full integration year.
