Since 2023, we’ve structured community membership into four distinct levels. This allows you to contribute to the ecovillage according to your available time and energy.

Who : Everyone is welcome
Purpose: To support and get to know the ecovillage
I sow:
$50 per year (per adult; free for children accompanied by a member)
I reap :
10% discount on products from the Bio Maraîchère farm
Free lunch during open house events
Opportunity to take part in a harvest
Who : Former interns, former active members, or former resident members
Purpose : To maintain a sense of belonging and contribute to the ecovillage.
Have completed an internship or lived at La Cité Écologique
$100 per year (per adult; free for children accompanied by a member)
10% discount on products from the Bio Maraîchère farm
Participation in open celebrations (suggested voluntary contribution: $25)
Participation in collective work bees
Access to sports events
Invitation to one community lunch per month
Priority for internships or becoming an active member
Who : Former interns or former resident members
Purpose : To explore ecovillage life over the course of one year
Have completed an internship or lived at La Cité Écologique
Cover the costs associated with living in the ecovillage
Participate in shared meals and collective work bees
Review the documents and social agreements related to ecovillage life
Participation in both public and private celebrations (*except in certain spaces)
Access to sports events
Possibility of housing and work within the ecovillage
Attendance at all weekday community lunches (5 days/week)
Access to shared resource services (*with some exceptions)
Participation in integration dinners and guidance from a mentor
Opportunity to become a resident member
Who : Active members
Purpose : To live, work, and help sustain life in the ecovillage
